Station Dashboard

Hello, and welcome to this training session.

In this video, I'm going to cover a feature of the Station Dashboard, starting with status configuration and then walking you through the workflow for managing jobs and travelers.

We begin by heading to the Settings section, then navigating to Work Order Status. Here, you'll notice that we've streamlined the statuses, removing "Assigned" and other redundant statuses. Now, only six statuses remain: Open, Work in Progress, Closed, Canceled, Closed, and Upcoming. This simplifies the workflow and helps you focus on the most critical statuses.

Next, we'll explore the Station Dashboard settings. Go to Settings, then System Configuration, and finally Station Mapping Configuration. Here, you can see all the stations listed along with their types. You can select the associated checklist, user, the next station in the workflow, whether it should appear on the Station Dashboard, the time allocated for the job, and the order of operations. There’s also an option to enable or disable the workflow at specific stages.

For example, we've added an "Upcoming" or "Queue" station. This station doesn’t have any assigned type, checklist, or user, but it’s set as the first station in the workflow. When a job is completed at this station, it automatically moves to the next station in the sequence.

Now, let’s create an emergency job, known as a "traveler." Go to the Station Dashboard, and you’ll see travelers currently queued or in progress at different stations. To create a new traveler, go to the Create Traveler section, select the "Upcoming" or "Queue" facility, give it a title, and if it's an emergency, mark it as such. You can also tag the project, associate a customer, and upload any relevant files. Once you save the traveler, it appears in the "Upcoming" facility. If needed, you can update the status directly from the dashboard.

The station workflow is designed to automatically move jobs from one station to the next. For example, when a job is completed at Station 1, it moves to Station 2, and so on. If Station 1 is empty, the scheduler checks for jobs in the "Upcoming" queue and moves them to Station 1. This scheduler runs at 15-minute intervals, ensuring that the workflow is always progressing smoothly.

Finally, I'll show you how this process works within the mobile application. When you open a task in the mobile app and start the job, the Station Dashboard will reflect the "Work in Progress" status in real-time. Once you complete the task, the job automatically moves to the next station, and the Station Dashboard updates accordingly. This system ensures that all documents and tasks associated with a job move seamlessly from one station to the next, maintaining a smooth and efficient workflow.

In summary, this video provided an overview of the Station Dashboard, how to manage statuses, set up the workflow, create and manage travelers, and utilize the scheduler to keep your operations running smoothly. The integration with the mobile application ensures that you can manage jobs efficiently from anywhere. This system is designed to streamline your processes, reduce manual tasks, and improve overall productivity.
