Convert a Lead and Create Job
In DreamzFSM, converting a lead and creating a job is a streamlined one-step process that turns a qualified lead directly into an actionable field job — automatically creating the customer record and opening the job creation screen so your field team can get to work without delay.
Overview
Open the Lead list, click Convert next to the desired lead, and select Convert Lead and Create Job. DreamzFSM automatically converts the lead into a customer and opens the Job creation screen with the customer details pre-populated. You then enter the job details — such as service type, schedule, location, and assigned technician — and click Save to create the job. This single workflow eliminates duplicate data entry and keeps your pipeline, customer records, scheduling, and billing seamlessly connected from first contact to field execution.

Tips for Converting a Lead and Creating a Job
- Use the Convert Lead and Create Job path when a lead is ready to be actioned in the field — this creates the customer record and job in a single step, eliminating duplicate data entry.
- Verify the pre-populated customer and contact information before saving the job to ensure that address, phone, and email details are accurate for your field team.
- Assign the job to the appropriate technician and set a schedule at the time of creation so it immediately appears on the dispatch board and technician calendar.
- Include a clear job description and any relevant notes from the lead conversation so your technician arrives fully informed about the customer's needs.
- Once the job is saved, use DreamzFSM's scheduling and dispatching tools to manage the job's progress from assignment through to completion and billing.
