Create and track sales prospects by selecting the customer/facility, entering contact details, then defining the opportunity's name, type, stage, value, probability, and expected close date.
Overview
The Opportunity feature in DreamzFSM allows you to create and manage sales prospects within your pipeline. You can add tags, notes, and attachments to each opportunity and save it to instantly place it into your pipeline and forecasting views. Note that opportunities can only be created for companies that are already added in the system. For a completely new client, you must first complete the full lead creation process before converting to an opportunity.

Steps to Create a New Opportunity
Step 1 – Navigate to the Opportunity Section
From the menu, click on Pipeline and then click on Opportunity.

Step 2 – Click on Add Opportunity
Clicking on the menu item will land you on the Opportunity List. Click on Add Opportunity in the top right corner to create a new opportunity.

Step 3 – Fill in the Opportunity Details and Save
Fill in the opportunity details including the customer/facility, contact details, opportunity name, type, stage, value, probability, and expected close date. You can also add tags, notes, and attachments. Note that opportunities must be linked to companies already added in the system. For a completely new client, follow the full lead creation process first. Once all details are entered, click Save.

Tips for Creating Opportunities
- Always ensure the customer or company is already added in DreamzFSM before creating an opportunity. For brand-new clients, complete the lead creation and conversion process first.
- Set an accurate Opportunity Stage (e.g., Prospecting, Proposal, Negotiation, Closed Won) at creation so your pipeline view and forecasting reports reflect the true status of each deal.
- Enter a realistic Expected Close Date and Probability percentage to help your team prioritize follow-ups and generate accurate revenue forecasts.
- Use the Notes and Attachments fields to store relevant context — such as meeting summaries, proposals, or emails — directly on the opportunity record for easy reference.
- Add Tags to categorize opportunities by product line, region, or campaign, making it easier to filter and report on specific segments of your pipeline.
- Regularly update the Stage and Value fields as the opportunity progresses to keep your pipeline and forecasting data accurate and actionable.
