Tips for Configuring Estimate Templates

  • Use clear and specific Template Names (e.g., Preventive Schedule, HVAC Service) so team members can quickly identify the right template when building estimates.
  • Define meaningful Option Names (e.g., Basic, Standard, Premium) within each template to reflect different tiers of service offering.
  • Use the Description field to add context about the template so users understand its purpose without having to open and review each item individually.
  • Linking a template to a customer account during setup helps associate the template with recurring service agreements or account-specific pricing.
  • You can add services either by searching by category or browsing the Service Book — use whichever method gets you to the right service faster.
  • Once saved, templates appear in the Service Template List and can be applied directly when building estimates, saving significant time on repeat jobs.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I access the Estimate Templates section in DreamzFSM?
Navigate to Price Book from the main menu and click Estimate Template to view and manage all existing service templates.

Can I add multiple services to a single estimate template?
Yes. You can add as many services as needed to a template by clicking Add Service and selecting items by category or from the Service Book each time.

What is the Option Name field used for in an estimate template?
