The Work Order List in DreamzCMMS is your central queue for viewing, searching, filtering, and managing all work orders (WOs) from a single screen. It provides a comprehensive overview of active tasks and gives you quick access to take action — helping you drive maintenance efficiency and stay organized.


Overview

The Work Order List displays all work orders across facilities, statuses, and dates. Each entry shows key details like maintenance type, dates, status, requester, assignee, category, financials, and quick action options — making it easy to monitor workload and respond swiftly to maintenance needs.

Before You Begin

  • Make sure you have access to the Work Orders module in DreamzCMMS.

  • Confirm that work orders exist in the system — the list will populate with them once created.

  • Know the filters you want to apply (facility, status, date range, etc.) to focus your view.


How to Access & Use the Work Order List

Step 1 — Go to Work Order List

From the left navigation menu, click Work Orders and then select Work Order List. This opens the full list view of all WOs in the system.

Step 2 — View Work Orders

In the list:

  • You’ll see work orders in various statuses (e.g., open, in-progress, completed).

  • Each row shows important fields such as WO number, dates, status, requester, assignee, category, and more.

  • Use the Search box to find specific work orders quickly.

Step 3 — Use Filters

Apply filters to narrow down the list by:

  • Facility/location

  • Date range

  • Work order status

  • Maintenance type
    This helps you focus on the work orders most relevant to your role.

Step 4 — Take Quick Actions

Each work order entry offers quick action icons that let you:

  • View or edit the work order

  • Assign or reassign technicians

  • Add comments

  • Print the work order

  • Send emails

  • Delete the work order when necessary

  • Use checkboxes for bulk actions on multiple selected work orders. 

After Using the Work Order List

  • You can use the list to track work progress and identify bottlenecks.

  • Combine searches and filters to create custom views (e.g., all overdue WOs).

  • Use quick actions to update or communicate without needing to open each work order individually.


Tips for Effective Use

  • Use meaningful search terms — work order number, requester name, or status — to find records fast.

  • Filter regularly to focus on urgent or specific types of tasks.

  • Perform bulk updates when dealing with large groups of work orders (e.g., closing completed tasks).

  • Leverage quick actions to save time and streamline workflows.

1. How do I find a specific work order in the list?
Use the Search bar at the top of the Work Order List to type keywords like work order number, requester name, or status to quickly locate the work order you need.

2. Can I filter work orders by facility or date?
Yes — the filter panel lets you narrow the displayed list by facility, date range, status, and other criteria so you only see orders relevant to your focus.

3. What quick actions can I take directly from the Work Order List?
You can view/edit, assign, comment, print, send email, and delete a work order — plus perform bulk actions on multiple selected records.

4. Is it possible to update several work orders at once?
Yes — by selecting the checkboxes next to each work order, you can apply bulk updates to change status, assignment, or other common actions efficiently.
