Work Order Fields Configuration lets admins control which fields appear on work orders and how strictly they are enforced. For each field such as Asset, Category, and Custom 1–10 set the status to Required, Optional, or Hidden. These rules shape the technician form, improve data quality (e.g., forcing asset selection), and keep screens uncluttered by hiding unused fields. Adjust once here and the settings apply across WO creation and edits.
Follow these steps to know how you can configure the work order fields:
1. From the menu click on Settings then under Configuration, click on System Configuration.
2. After the page opens up, click on Work Order Configuration tab.
3. Here you can configuration all the fields of the work order page. You can set any field as Required, Optional, or Hidden. These rules shape the technician form, improve data quality (e.g., forcing asset selection), and keep screens uncluttered by hiding unused fields. Once you are done configuring, click on Save.
