How to use the Timesheet Option?

The Timesheet module lets technicians record time against projects and work orders using Check-In and Check-Out, and submit Overtime or a Timesheet Approval request when needed. The list view summarises each entry—project/WO, in/out times, check-in type, and comments—with quick actions to view GPS, edit, or delete (as permitted). A typical workflow is: Check-In → perform work → Check-Out → (optional) submit OT → send for approval, after which managers review and approve entries for accurate payroll, billing, and job-costing.

Overview

The Timesheet module in DreamzFSM enables technicians to log their working time accurately against specific projects and work orders directly from the mobile app. Managers can then review and approve submitted timesheets to ensure accurate payroll, billing, and job-costing records.

  • Add a brief note at both check-in and check-out to provide a clear record of the work performed during that session.
  • If overtime has been worked, submit an Overtime (OT) request after checking out so managers can review and approve it promptly.
  • Use the web portal to verify that timesheet entries have been saved correctly, especially after checking out from the mobile app.
  • Managers should review and approve timesheet entries regularly to keep payroll, billing, and job-costing records up to date.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Timesheet module used for?
The Timesheet module allows technicians to log their working time against specific projects and work orders using Check-In and Check-Out. Managers can then review and approve these entries for payroll, billing, and job-costing purposes.

Can I tag more than one project or work order when checking in?
